Description

Saumur Blanc Brut “methode traditionelle”

Saumur is a commune in the Maine-et-Loire department in western France. The historic town is located between the Loire and the Thouet rivers and is surrounded by the vineyards of Saumur itself. The Region is known for its sparkling wines made by the traditional method, its red wines made primarily from Cabernet Franc and its white wines made from Chenin Blanc.

“Fines Bulles” is 70% Chenin blanc and 30% Chardonnay made using the “methode traditionelle”. The colour is brilliant yellow with fine and persistent perlage. On the nose intense notes of white flowers and peach. Honeysuckle, acacia and mature apples on the palate with a remarkable long lasting finish. It can be enjoyed as an aperitif accompanied with appetizers. Pair it with fish chowder, chicken and pork dishes. Surprisingly good with fish and chips!
